Portrait

„I was born in a small, beautiful town in Samegrelo, in Senaki. At the moment, I live in Kutaisi with my husband and our two daughters. Since childhood, I have been drawing; even the choice of profession was determined by my love of drawing.
I especially remember the years I worked at the Akhmeteli Theater, where I ended up thanks to the director Nugri Khandarishvili. I dreamed of working as a costume designer in cinema or theater, but for the longest time I had to work as a teacher. I don’t know what determined that—whether it was my love for children or my sincere relationships with kind, little people. I’m always happy with the success of my student, especially if she develops creatively. It’s happiness when you do something you love. Along with teaching, creative work is very difficult, because it takes a huge amount of time and energy… I hope I will be able to dedicate myself more in a creative way and create many works, so that I can bring pleasure to others as well as to myself.“
