Portrait
“I am a photographer. The main thing I want to achieve through photography is collecting indelible memories, and most of all—capturing the pleasant moments of our life. I want to be able to convey sincere feelings from the past in my works. That is why, I study old, alternative printing methods and print in my laboratory. I also make aged handmade prints on vintage paper. Cyanotype photography holds a very deep place in my life. I can live in my own world with cyanotype photos. They remind me of my dreams, the world of my fantasies… I love when I share this world with people.
The works I present are from the cyanotype series. For me, antiquity is about depicting different colors and emotions. The reason I used this method was my search. I really enjoy the time spent on each photo, when a new image comes into being before my eyes. My little home laboratory is the garden of my photography world. Far from this garden, I am taken into the past. I always explore the lives and photos of classic photographers. I understand that each of them is very different. I think this is the main condition—that we should relate our thoughts and feelings to the photos. Probably, that is why I don’t like new technology. Comfortable and accessible photos are far from me…“
