„The first conscious emotions of my childhood are connected with painting… My mother was a professional painter, and colors captivated me from childhood. For a long time, I would sit by the easel and bring my childish, colorful fantasies to life on canvas. For me, it was a mythical fairytale world. My first paintings have never left my memory—full of light simplicity and joy, far from the weight of the world and depression. Every emotion turned into colors and was filled with boundless freedom and simplicity. Then came classical art education….
In the early 1990s, I became interested in iconography, which captivated me… Iconography greatly influenced my search—for shaping a contemporary artistic, individual style. Seemingly insignificant events and moments of life, feeding my imagination with new creative ideas. A new branch—digital graphics—was added to my work; it complements and emotionally enriches my painting. It is an endless opportunity to be able to convey more emotions with new methods—a quick action by creating a digital print and greater accessibility to my artwork.“
