Elisabeth Maisuradze

Portrait

“My name is Elisabeth, but I go by Eli. I am an illustrator based in Tbilisi, Georgia. I work with both traditional and digital art. I don’t like choosing just one because I enjoy both in different ways. I love creating things with my hands — drawing, painting, making dolls, and experimenting with different materials.

I see myself as a visual storyteller. I don’t try to label my work too much; I simply create what I feel. In my artistic style, I often draw long, pointy-nosed figures, and I also enjoy painting detailed, realistic beetles. I like combining something strange with something real — it feels honest to me.

Color is very important in my work. I don’t always plan it; instead, I let it reflect my mood and emotions in the moment.”
