“As a child, everyone was amazed by my gift for drawing. I used to be amazed: on a blank sheet I could see the picture— I only outlined it and colored it in. At the age of 6 they took me to draw, and until I finished the academy— fully 17 years— I received an artistic education. And in the end, I returned again to where I started. Even now I draw in exactly the same way as in childhood: on a blank sheet I see the visual and follow it, turning it into something understandable for others. In general, I prefer naive visions; I like how the public-consciously describes itself in art. The relevant education allows me to perceive ongoing events from afar, to see integrity instead of chaos, and to provide people with what they need. I do not talk about my works; after they are finished, they begin to exist in the world independently of me. I love listening to people’s opinions about what I create. I’m always open to receiving their perspective. I don’t believe that a work should have two paragraphs of text written alongside the title for a person to be able to understand it. When creating a painting, I don’t even put a thoughtless dot. Every color, texture, form, or object matters. In general, they relate to some specific feeling. If my creation awakens any emotion in you, or even if it stops you from your agitated world for just a few moments and returns you to your own feelings and perceptions, then I believe that this is exactly the result I wanted.”
