Mina Zarfsaz

Portrait

“I am an Iranian-born interdisciplinary artist, designer, and educator based in the Greater Philadelphia area. My work explores themes of displacement, visual language, memory, and hidden systems through graphic design, projection, animation, sound, and mixed media.

Growing up between different cultures has deeply shaped my artistic practice. Using text, data, archival traces, and digital processes, I create layered visual works that encourage viewers to slow down, observe, and reflect.

My projects often connect personal and ecological narratives, addressing issues such as climate crisis, migration, public memory, and collective responsibility. Through posters, projections, installations, and immersive media, I explore how design can become a tool for listening, dialogue, and public engagement.”
