“Photography is the meaning of life for me, I don’t even care about a deeper philosophy. A photographer is a collector of the world to some extent… What else can you find in your piggy bank of images? Both television and cinema are a unity of moving images, each subsequent one kills its predecessor, makes you forget. A photographer, on the other hand, focuses your attention on the most important. It makes you understand what is worth focusing on. Recently, I started working on book design, which is a very interesting and impressive activity. Each different person, or a person’s album, or a book requires a different design, which is associated with quite great difficulties, and this activity is also interesting in that each time you have to solve a complex equation with many unknowns.”
