Khatuna Dondoladze

Portrait

“I started painting with oil paints. The first canvases depict portraits of old people. I created about twenty portraits in oil. Then I dared to paint animals, still lifes and sea landscapes as well. I cannot say that I am resting in the process of drawing because at this moment the brain remains very active. I make a lot of decisions about tone, color, texture, outline, and so on. But, this is art therapy for me because everyday problems shift to the background. Later, I started painting in watercolor too. I went the same way here: from portraits to landscapes, then – still lifes.”
