“I work in the field of audiovisual art. The main media of the implemented projects are photos and videos, and the topics of the work are social narratives, which in turn are connected with the city and the environment in which we live.
Since 2022, I have worked on the short film “Such a Long Absence.” The film depicts the only day of crisis in a middle-aged woman’s life and touches on self-discovery and after tragic events. The project is currently in post-production and in the final stages.
In 2021, I worked on a photo-video project, a visualization of the study of women’s labor and migration.
The same year, I started a photo-video project to capture the working conditions and environment of female eco-traders in Rustavi. The said project is still ongoing and tries to observe the changes that are periodically caused by their oppression from the state.
The onset of the pandemic in 2020 and the prospect of an uncertain future led me to observe the city I have lived in since birth, but I have never felt any connection to it. “Why Everything Remained As It Was” is a documentary photo and video project that begins a crucial period of exploring your city and identity by noticing previously unnoticed places.”
