Portrait

The artist’s creation resembles the writer’s. Any work is a blend of the author’s individuality and, together with it, a deep grasp and understanding of worldview, life experience, access to and comprehension of the external world, as well as distinct taste. Working on a sketch of a tapestry, batik, or a rug—and then bringing it to completion—is a great pleasure. Textile also evokes the feeling of approaching the mysterious, the past. Just as a person tells a lot about themselves, so too does a thing tell a lot about itself. That is perhaps why my works, too, resemble one whole assembled from many facets.
